Daniel, please make sure that citations are marked as such. It's hard to
find out what a citation and what your new text is (particularly for
someone not so much involved in the current thread). In this case I removed
all citations and replied only to your text.
Hm? Can you please elaborate on what you mean by this? I am very careful
and consistent about this already.
Citation quotes in my replies are always 1) purple, 2) indented, and 3)
have the vertical line "quote block" style along the left (the default by
Google Groups in the web browser).
Can you share an example of how it looks unclear on your end?
(1) See above, this is what I saw in your reply. My text ("Daniel,
please ...") and your "Hm? ..." could not be distinguished by any
means.
(2) I just noticed that I had changed Thunderbird's "view" menu to
text mode which resulted in this issue.
Now I changed the View mode to one of its HTML options, and I can
see citations distinguishable from your reply. So far I apologize,
it was (in parts) my fault.
That said, in the mail protocol Google doesn't seem to support all
its "gimmicks", and thus I can see neither "purple" nor the
indentation, whereas I can see a vertical line at the left border.
That's not what you see in the Google Groups web interface (your
screenshot) but it's sufficient. Many of the FLTK devs don't like
Google's web interface.
The following screenshot is what I see in "Original HTML" view
(truncated at the right side to make it smaller:

Thanks for clarification.
